Green production

Fish farming in closed recirculation systems contributes to preserving the environment for future generations. By bringing fish farmed in aquaculture to market, we will encourage a reduction in catches in natural waters, where the numbers of some species are approaching a critical, extinction threshold. In closed recirculation systems (RAS), unlike in open seas, fish farming is safe. Waste generated during production can be used for the production of other products – waste water – for growing vegetables, sludge – for biogas production and fertilization of soils. RAS systems prevent fish from escaping into open waters, protect against the threat of expelling or infecting native fish species.

The Seafoodwatch.com organization recommends this fish as a great choice to help conserve nature.
